The idea for Dolly's Diary grew from an actual diary kept in a campervan called Dolly. The delightful way in which the diary had been written by the families that rented Dolly for their holidays inspired David Irvine to commission this wonderful childrens book.

Holly grew up in a town just outside Brighton and spent most of her childhood climbing trees, jumping in puddles and drawing cartoon characters from books and films. At University College Falmouth she finished a BA Hons degree in illustration and then moved back to her home town. Since then Holly has worked for or a range of clients.

Clare is a first time children's author from Eastbourne. Born in the middle of the 1960's Clare grew up in the height of the campervan age and loves being able to impart some of the joy she remembers of that era through the Dolly's Diary series.
